We’re calling you in men! Join us in weaving this community kete (basket) of brotherhood. In the heart of Winter and surrounded by forest, we’ll create a space of restoration and learning. Together, we’ll explore the layers of being a man in 2025 and practice growing the roots of connection within.
Expect sharing circles, bonfires, feasting, song, movement (yoga, walks, dance), time at the river and in the bush, space to connect and games.
Keen? There are only 12 spots available to ensure a tight group, so head here to fill out the application form and pay a deposit https://forms.gle/NF6SmcGhRDWQhczB9
In a lodge to ourselves, we’ll commune with the hearth’s fire, the river’s water, the earth’s soil and the breezes of dawn. We’ll nourish our body with intentional movement and delicious kai. We’ll explore our identity, our hearts and minds. There will be games, exercises, time to hang out together, a warm fire, bush walks, and space for spontaneity.
“We went further in one weekend than we did in a whole year of men’s circles. This was awesome!”
Sharing vegetarian kai
Creating and sharing food together is a key part of this experience. Each of us will bring ingredients and together we’ll cook and feast. More guidance will come after you book a space. There’s also a pizza oven!
Investment
High impact, low cost is the goal here. I offer a sliding scale of $200 - $400 for the event, give what you can and to the level of value you received.
The average weekend retreat often costs $600 - $1400 so we're aiming to be as affordable as we can. If money is a challenge, ALWAYS message me and we can figure it out!
Location & directions
The Peel Forest Eco Lodge is delicious! With an open lounge, bunk beds, a warm fire and spacious kitchen, it’s a great space to connect. The lodge is 1hr 45m from Ōtautahi and we’ll organise ride sharing to reduce cost. To get there, head to the Peel Forect DOC campsite and at the entrance take a right down a dirt road. Follow this, through a gate (unlocked), and up to the lodge.
DM me if you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you
